Azores Film Festival 2026 - Werner Herzog Experience!
I was selected to participate in the Werner Herzog Experience, in the Azores Film Fest 2026. It was a great opportunity!
For 11 days, Werner Herzog mentored 50 filmmakers who worked in 25 creative pairs as they experienced all phases of creating a film, with a special emphasis on the writing process. They went through the conception of the idea, the shooting, the editing and, finally, the screening of the finished work.

Unscripted NY Improvised Theater & Film Festival
Also known as Unscripted Fest! A Festival if FIRSTS! We were the FIRST to CELEBRATE IMPROVISED FILM in a Festival! Now, it's not uncommon to see IMPROV FILM spotlighted along side scripted films, and along with improvised theater in festivals. We were the First to do it! AND we hosted our films at HBO in NYC - A special experience for our filmmakers! We were the FIRST to PAY EVERY PERFORMER who graced our stage during the festival. Many Festivals STILL do not pay performers, even if their show KILLS it. We gave all performers a portion of house proceeds - every show! We not only survived THREE years in Midtown Manhattan, we scored reviews as a MUST DO activity in NYC every year. New York Magazine, Time Out NY and others! Check out one of our Unscripted NY Short Films below! |

THAT TIME - An Unscripted NY Short
Every year at Unscripted New York we created a fully improvised short film. During the days of the 2013 festival weekend, we pulled together a team of directors, editors, and actors who met for the first time on Wednesday to come up with a concept and cast our actors. We shot a couple days later, no script, fully making up dialogue and shots on the spot, and then edited in time to screen on the final night of the Festival, Sunday. It's all part of the improv in film celebration -- to fully improvise a film, start to finish, and see what happens through creative collaboration. |
